ng-voice's Cloud-Native IMS Solutions Selected by Webbing for Critical IoT Applications

By

With the market for IoT solutions growing hyper-rapidly, new use cases are emerging with needs for innovative voice solutions. Seismic changes have been predicted to shake up the industry this year, and new connectivity challenges are already skating the horizon.

This takes us to a brand-new announcement made today by Webbing, a global MVNO connectivity provider for enterprise mobility and IoT. Webbing announced that it has just selected ng-voice to provide fully containerized and cloud-native IMS solutions for mission-critical IoT use cases. ng-voice, no stranger to the telecom market, developed the industry’s first cloud-native IMS – a critical component for deploying voice over LTE (VoLTE) and voice over new radio (VoNR) – key benefits of which include deployment and operation processes that are highly automated, reliability to scale (up and down), standard compliance to 3GPP, and a minimal resource footprint. (All while remaining cloud-and-infrastructure agnostic.)

With ng-voice integrated with Webbing’s offerings, the goal is to achieve resource-efficient IoT connectivity solutions for enterprises; solutions like eCall and bCall for automotive, emergency elevator call systems, alarm systems, independent living monitoring wearables for accident assistance, and more.

Webbing and ng-voice are both aware of how, in order to fulfill the market’s pendulum swing of requirements, network solutions must be both highly scalable and flexible, with high expectations for new functionalities. Combine all of this with cloud-nativity, and it’s clear where sights are being set.

David Bachmann, ng-voice’s CEO, said, “Our IMS is ideal for IoT use cases – it is highly automated and cost-effective, exactly what IoT use cases are all about. We see high dynamics in this market, and are thrilled to work with a like-minded partner such as Webbing, who is realizing the full potential of cloud-native and fully containerized voice solutions in IoT."

And according to Yoram Zerahia, Webbing’s CTO, "We chose to work with ng-voice because their cloud-native IMS and responsiveness fit perfectly with our portfolio and agile mindset, providing our enterprise customers with secure, reliable, and cost-efficient communication services. It further enhances our voice solution for the automotive industry. Together, we are one step further in helping IoT customers unleash their networks' full potential."

Webbing is a Gold Sponsor of IoT Evolution Expo 2023, taking place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from February 14-16, 2023. Explore the disruption and opportunity IoT and its related technologies are creating at IoT Evolution Expo, part of the #TECHSUPERSHOW experience. Discover advances in 5G, edge computing, machine learning and AI, and understand the role these technologies play in ushering in the new age of digital transformation. Participate in more than 100 business and technology conference sessions, workshops and keynotes, meet key suppliers in the exhibit hall, and network with prospective partners and customers during the many networking and other special events during the week. Webbing will be in Booth #465 in the exhibit hall.
