New Fast, Low Cost Crude Oil and Water Haulers Electronic Ticketing System from TouchStar

TouchStar Solutions, LLC is a company that develops workforce solutions for mobile computing and automated services. They do this for a broad range of industries, such as, Oil and Gas, Field Services, Consumer Goods and Transportation and Fleet Management. They maintain these services across a multi-national marketplace. TouchStar was founded in 2001 and is based out Tulsa, Oklahoma and they have offices in Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

Recently, TouchStar announced that it is introducing XPRESS BUNDLED. It is an electronically run ticketing system that has been specifically designed for the hauling of crude oil and water. The XPRESS BUNDLED package offers a host of options including, faster roll-outs, secure hosting, industrial grade handheld computers and printers, as well as, its field proven CrudePac Mobility Software. This is all ‘bundled’ into one affordable monthly subscription fee.

TouchStar CrudePac mobility software automates transactions in real-time. It is designed to eliminate manual and paper based administrative processes for oil field services and crude and waste water hauling. The CrudePac suite generates and dispatches tickets and eliminates errors and automates calculations. It also includes GPS tracking and caters to over 80 different field services.

According to TouchStar, this new bundled package provides the perfect solution for crude haulers who want to get up and running quickly at the lowest possible entry cost. Dave Fredericks, Sales Manager at TouchStar, says, “Our new XPRESS BUNDLED significantly reduces start-up time and costs. For our crude and water hauling customers, we believe it’s the absolute fastest pathway to the lowest fleet automation entry costs, as well as to full-featured electronic ticketing, plus a far quicker return-on-investment.”

TouchStar’s XPRESS BUNDLED comes in what is described as lunch-pail-sized (how appropriate for a trucker) self-contained portable kit. Since it is designed to be portable, there is no need of any type of installation in the trucker’s cab.

Since this is a bundled package, there are several separate packages that are included. I mentioned CrudePac above, which is combined with eNable Middleware, which is a suite of Middleware Software that provides sophisticated data configuration, translation and management functions to simplify systems integrations and create a robust infrastructure with more dependable outcomes. It employs a unified database that maximizes system performance and the accurate and timely flow of information between TouchStar Mobility and Enterprise applications.

The bundle also includes TouchStar HyderDocs imaging technology. This captures all field ticketing data electronically. All of this information is securely hosted by TouchStar, thus eliminating the need for a company to purchase or maintain their own servers. To make the process even easier and more self-contained, TouchStar will also include a wireless communications plan.

There will be a one-time setup fee. This fee will include the setup, master file data load and training. Once that is taken care of, there will be what TouchStar says is an extremely affordable monthly subscription fee.

The equipment that will be used is very durable and designed to handle the abuse that can occur in the crude oil and water hauling environments. The Xpress Bundled package includes the Intermec CN-50 handheld computer with scanner and the Intermec PB-51 portable 4 inch thermal printer.
