IoT Tech Links Telemedicine to Critical Procedures

By Ken Briodagh December 01, 2015

A European manufacturer of telemedicine devices used by hospitals and medical staff has begun to integrate its devices with a Business Process Management (BPM) solution by partners PNMsoft, a Microsoft Gold ISV, and Amedar Consulting Group.

The solution is used by medical teams to manage processes on mobiles and tablets. The combination of IoT and BPM technology is transforming its business.

“We’re delighted to be working with Amedar in this innovative BPM project. We are witnessing first-hand a great example of IoT and BPM,” said James Luxford, CTO, PNMsoft. “Our unique HotChange technology helps our customers to modernize their processes and keep optimizing them – with no disruption – supporting Continuous Business Improvement, as it is the case with Amedar.”

This project addresses several of the challenges involved in medical applications for telepresence. It includes the implementation of a process management platform managing all aspects around the care of hospital patients, and the internal procedures for medical staff.

Dominik Mazur, CEO, Amedar, said, “Our customer has a 20-year old history in telemedicine and cardiac telemonitoring devices. PNMsoft has allowed us to rapidly model workflows and build forms on a browser for our customer, enabling multiple users to work on the same project at the same time. What’s more, the integration between Sequence and the telemedicine devices, is supporting medical staff and hospital patients to view records and historical data on mobile and tablet devices.”
