PreCise MRM Launches New Solution for Telematics Market

By Anuradha Shukla August 12, 2009
PreCise MRM recently launched a Mobile Resource Management solution for the commercial Telematics market. Named IX-101, the new launch can address the asset management needs of severe duty truck fleets for on and off road applications.

The IX -101 is a GPS-based system that is water and shock proof. It provides an affordable, rugged mobile resource management system and is engineered to withstand the rigorous needs of construction, municipal and heavy duty service equipment.

A combination of the IX-101 and the innovative Web-based asset management system enables users to always know where your mobile assets are and the job they are performing. The IX-101 is especially beneficial for the fleet managers, equipment maintenance personnel and finance staff who can use this device to have an accurate account of which vehicles/assets are productive and which one are not.

PreCise MRM uses the latest in mobile and GPS technology to provide fleet management solutions that improve productivity and cost effectiveness for the on-off highway market.

A 2008 report from Frost & Sullivan indicates that the global telematics market will face a slowdown in the coming years as automakers worldwide shift their focus to factors such as fuel efficiency and electric vehicles. The research firm also says that both South Korea and China will emerge as dominant forces in the global telematics market over the medium term.
