Google Home's Biggest Challenge Will Be Handling Whole Family Accounts

Google Home can be viewed as a hub for all your music, smart home, and assistant needs. The voice activated speaker, which functions over WiFi, is designed to listen to your requests and inquiries and is very useful when you need to call a taxi, turn off the bathroom lights, alter the thermostat temperature, or need a question answered. Using Google Assistant, Google Home has the ability to manage your grocery list and forward it to your cell phone. The Home can also locate the quickest route to work via Google Maps, simply ask it.

A big challenge that Google Home is facing is being able to handle multiple accounts at once. Currently, the Home can only sync one account such as moms Google account to her phone, but can’t sync up her daughters Google account. In this sense, the Home doesn’t make itself ideal for whole families to use, quite the contrary to how they market the product. This can be a big deterrent for purchasers, as requests that are made for the device, can only be made regarding that user. When asking the device “what’s in store for today” in regards to your agenda, Home will only respond regarding the one account that is synced. An alternative for this would be to purchase multiple Google Homes, one for each member of the family, so when individuals ask something it will know how to respond.

Google home is great for the account that it is hooked up to, as you can ask it to send your best friend a text message simply by speaking to it. It locates their contact information in your phone, you speak to the Home, and off it goes. It can forward you an alternate route to work when it detects congestion on your standard route. This device is an intelligent more conversational gadget that integrates well with popular music apps such as Spotify and Pandora. It detects your voice well in loud environments which makes it perfect for those hectic mornings.

In the future, Google Home hopes to allow the device to identify various voices and act accordingly. When husband and wife both request different things from the device, the device should be able to detect who is asking what and supply the proper answer correspondingly.

Google Home is kind of like Google in general. Ask it anything, enjoy your music, send a text message, manage tasks, and forward maps. There’s little that Google Home can’t do and is a fantastic method for controlling your smart device. It is also available at your service, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
