Cog Systems Names immixGroup Distributor to U.S. Government for Secure Software

By Ken Briodagh September 06, 2017

According to a recent announcement, Cog Systems, maker of secure solutions for the connected world, has aligned with immixGroup as its public sector distributor. Under the agreement, immixGroup has added Cog Systems’ D4 Secure software, products and services to its U.S.-based nationwide local, state and federal government purchasing vehicles.

"D4 Secure technology provides defense-grade security to commercial devices," said Carl Nerup, CMO, Cog Systems. "The agreement with immixGroup will make it easier for government agencies to both find and procure the cybersecurity solution they need and trust."

With the addition of Cog Systems' D4 Secure product line, immixGroup gains a new distribution relationship that provides cybersecurity solutions for the connected device ecosystem, on commercial devices at commercial prices.

Cog Systems has a long heritage in designing and implementing 'hardened' mobile devices for select governments. The company launched the HTC, Secured by D4 in February, which device is currently in use by the U.S. Department of Defense and is the first virtualization-based smartphone security system to be certified on the U.S. Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) list.

The D4 Secure Platform running on HTC is the first cybersecurity smartphone solution to be listed on the NSA's Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) program that uses virtualization, which the NSA has only required on more powerful devices such as PCs and laptops.

D4 Secure software, products and services are available immediately from immixGroup.

Of course, in connected vehicle technology, security concerns are no less critical than with other smart devices needed for governmental operations. This new partnership is designed to make those selections easier for federal, state and local officials, who will be able to make choices based on key features other than security.
