By Mini Swamy September 13, 2011

The Bank of America Merrill Lynch Cleantech Conclave will be held at the Peninsula Hotel in New York on September 13, at 12:20 p.m. ET. Among the many attendees, Itron Inc., announced that it would participate on the Smart Grid Panel.

Russ Vanos, vice president of corporate marketing and communications at Itron, is expected to present at the Conclave. Alternative energy investors are expected to make use of this opportunity and interact directly with the senior executives of leading companies.

Public and private companies associated with the smart grid and alternative sources of energy, across the Cleantech spectrum, are expected to participate. A maximum number of 100 investors can attend.

The conference is expected to encourage the interaction between participants and important experts in the smart grid industry. Experts will discuss the challenges encountered by the smart grid industry, how the industry has evolved over time and the opportunities that exist. It will also outline strategies that have helped to accelerate the adoption of the smart grid across the country.

Senior executives will interact with the participants through eight one-on-one or small group meetings each day. In addition special speakers are slated to address the audience at breakfast and lunch.

A copy of the presentation will be made available on September 14 at the Itron website.

Itron, which is dedicated to delivering end-to-end smart grid and smart distribution solutions to electric, gas and water utilities around the globe claims that nearly 8,000 utilities worldwide rely on its technology to optimize the delivery of energy and water.
