Industrial Internet Consortium Hosts IIoT Security Demo with Plattform Industrie 4.0 at Hannover Messe

In a recent release, the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) and Plattform Industrie 4.0 have announced a joint demonstration at Hannover Messe (News - Alert) 2017, in Hannover, Germany, highlighting Industrial Internet security, interoperability and collaboration.

Participating IIC member companies announcing their support for the joint demonstration include: aicas, Belden/GarrettCom/Hirschmann/Tripwire, Cisco, Electric Imp, Fujitsu (News - Alert), GlobalSign, Infineon Technologies, Microsoft, Plethora IIoT, SAP SE, Schneider Electric, SICK AG, SoCe, UL, Waterfall Security, Wibu-Systems and Xilinx. Additional companies are included in the demonstration.

The demonstration can be found in Stands C24 and D24 of Hall 8 of Hannover Messe and live demonstrations can be found in many participating member stands and halls throughout the event, in other parts of Germany and in other parts of the world. 

The IIC has announced its plugfest series of the Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) Testbed and the expansion of the TSN Testbed to Europe. Results from this latest plugfest will be demonstrated at both the IIC booth and the OPC UA booth at Hannover Messe. Some testbed participants will also have TSN displays in their respective booths. TSN Testbed participants include IIC members Analog Devices, Belden/Hirschmann, Bosch Rexroth, B&R Industrial Automation, Cisco (News - Alert), Hilscher, KUKA, National Instruments, Renesas Electronics, Schneider Electric, SICK AG, TTTech and Xilinx.
