First of all, my apologies. If you are used to getting regular emails from me, you are probably going to think I have gone off my nut in the next few months.
The issue stems from messaging about our expanded IoT Evolution Expo event. You see, when we changed our name from M2M Evolution to IoT Evolution, we had a lot of discussion about the issue of messaging.
I know it comes as no surprise to you that the IoT, like the Internet itself, brings markets together. I like the way that Numerex (News - Alert) and others talk about the Devices, Networks and Applications [DNA] of IoT. All of us have strengths and weaknesses in how we talk about the market. If you are in automotive, the tendency is talk about telematics. Utilities talk about Smart Grids and Cities. Wireless carriers talk about M2M.
As Shakespeare would say, IoT’s a rose and by any other name still smells as sweet. This means we need to provide a thesaurus of messages to gather the roses.
We are showing our tracks as separate events on our websites and with various organizations that focus on specific varieties of vertical implementations.
Our varieties of IoT sessions are displayed as a cohesive whole with M2M Evolution, which is the only site that shows the track of Supply Chain and Vertical Markets. However it then shows the tracks that also have separate websites including:
The bottom line is: we have the most comprehensive IoT Conference and Expo on the planet, and because of that, what we have to talk about each show is a summit.

If you belong to an association, attend meet ups or social group that need to be aware of our event in any of its forms, introduce us and let us invite them.
Our goal is to have 1000 delegates in our five tracks and 3000 visitors to our show floor.
In effect, we will be an IoT village inside Caesars in Las Vegas for the week of August 17 to 20.
