As the entire wireless industry gears up for Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) (IoT Evolution will be there, too), The Swedish Alliance for IoT Entrepreneurs (SMSE) has announced that it’s bigger and stronger than ever, adding three more members and four new partners in preparation for its MWC attendance.
Provider of secure communication, AddSecure, cloud storage enabler, Storegate, and IoT Service provider, DNX, are the new members, and Northstream, Flex, Mobile Institute and THINGS joined SMSE and Swedish IoT as new partners. The latest expansion brings SMSE to 51 members and 17 partners and strengthens Sweden’s role as IoT powerhouse.
“I’m delighted to see SMSE grow and not the least to see the rapidly growing interest and support from international companies” said Magnus Melander, Founder, SMSE. “The Swedish IoT eco-system has become a great proxy for the IoT development in the world and SMSE makes it easy to follow, navigate and leverage.” The recent Swedish Mobile Awards was heavily influenced by IoT with winners like Shortcut Labs (Startup of the year), Scania (IoT enterprise of the year), Infracontrol (IoT platform of the year) and Telia with Telia Sense (IoT solution of the year).
Next stop for SMSE is Mobile World Congress where the group will have a stand in Swedish Pavilion 7F41 and will participate in IoT For Real Breakfast organized by Mobile Institute Feb 24. SMSE has about 20 members and most of its partners in Barcelona. Among the highlights at MWC are Telia Sense’s nomination for Most Innovative Automotive Solution GLOMO Award and Springworks’ pitch as one of the 12 international IoT startups at IoT Stars.
