Drayson Technologies, an IoT platform company based in London that has developed proprietary wireless charging technology and machine learning software to create smart sensor networks that generate actionable insights for life improvements, has announced its plans to build the world’s most advanced air pollution map for Greater London. The company has partnered with Gophr and Inmarsat to achieve this goal.
Fifty of Gophr courier’s bicycles will be equipped with the CleanSpace Tags, which are portable air pollution sensors created by Drayson Technologies. They are powered by its revolutionary Freevolt technology.
What is the goal of these companies’ partnership? The London-based couriers will map pollution levels on their journeys across the capital as they collect data that will help to build a real-time map of London’s air pollution during their same-day deliveries. They will achieve this goal with the assistance of the LoRa trackers by Inmarsat (News - Alert), the global mobile satellite communications services provider, which enables highly accurate, real time location and height data to be collected on the move.
