HARMAN International Industries, a connected transportation technology company for automotive, consumer and enterprise markets, and Airbiquity, a connected vehicle services developer, have announced what they say is the first automotive grade end-to-end intrusion detection system for connected vehicles.
We’ve seen over and over that Connected Vehicles are only getting more vulnerable to attack as they become more connected and powered by software. Now, these two companies have teamed up to combine HARMAN's Intrusion (News - Alert) Detection and Prevention System inside the vehicle with Airbiquity’s cloud-based Choreo service delivery platform and Software & Data Management solution. Together, the companies claim their solutions offer a robust connected vehicle security threat detection and response capability.

The HARMAN software is designed to provide continuous security threat monitoring and identification for internal vehicle networks and log security intrusions locally. Once a problem is logged, Airbiquity’s solution collects the information and transfers it to the cloud, where customers can assess and execute remediation strategies.
