Eurotech is readying the introduction of a 4G version of ReliaCELL. Neal Calanni, vice president of marketing, told us that this week at IoT Evolution Expo in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
ReliaCELL is an existing Eurotech product that’s been out for a couple of years. But soon this product line will support LTE (News - Alert). And, Calanni said, Eurotech will soon reveal an extended roadmap for different 4G Cat versions of the solution.
The company is also doing a lot to enhance its Everyware Software Framework, he said. Expect more on that in the first half of this year.
In other news from Eurotech, the company recently announced its multi-service IoT gateways have joined Microsoft’s (News - Alert) Azure Certified for IoT program. Calanni said this announcement emphasizes the openness of Eurotech’s solutions.
Eurotech already supported Amazon Web Services (News - Alert). And it wanted to offer users of Microsoft Azure similar capability, he said.
The company this week at IoT Evolution Expo is demonstrating its IoT capabilities. That includes its ReliaGATE family of industrial IoT gateways, including the new BoltGATE 20-25 ruggedized platform. This new platform, the company said, is ideal for transit, rolling stock, and fleet management applications.
Eurotech is also doing a demonstration of its Everyware Software Framework. That will entail a field-to-cloud application featuring the EDCK 4001 Development Kit.
The company this week also is highlighting its PCN-1001 Passenger Counting solution for transit and building management applications. That leverages the company’s Everyware Cloud.
And it is doing a real-time sensor demonstration. That employs the company’s Everyware Cloud IoT Integration platform.
Eurotech this week also is participating in a smart city panel. Smart city applications can encompass everything from energy management, lighting, and smart traffic, Calanni said. But Eurotech is looking at the transportation part, as he noted the company has passenger counters on buses and trains. The company is also involved in a mobile charging station for electric vehicles application.
