In a recent release, Globetouch and CloudMinds Technology have announced a new partnership with the goal of providing connectivity for robots and other artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives. The two companies are making the announcement during Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) Americas (MWCA) 2017, a conference and expo bringing together industry leaders to meet and explore new business models in mobile technology.

“This partnership is a major step forward for both Globetouch and the AI and IoT communities in general,” Riccardo DiBlasio, CEO, Globetouch. “Working with CloudMinds, we will provide full connectivity for many innovative and advanced robotics initiatives that require the ability to control rapid motions.”

Globetouch is a provider of global connectivity services and IoT platforms for the connected vehicle and the Internet of Things (IoT) market. CloudMinds is creating advanced AI engines in the cloud to advance its mission to “make robots smarter.” Together, the companies said they will develop cloud-based applications and platforms that help control robots with rapid motions. This will have great implications for the development of autonomous driving, factory robots, shipping port sorting robots and other AI initiatives.

“CloudMinds is the first cloud robot operator focusing on delivering secure networks and cloud-hosted Artificial Intelligence for robotic services,” said Bill Huang, Founder and CEO, CloudMinds Technology. “Globetouch is our key roaming and mobile connectivity provider enabling us to offer services at a global scale.”

Globetouch is also sponsoring a Sunrise 5K Run at the conference. CloudMinds Technology is launching the world’s first cloud robot control unit (RCU), DATA A1, at the event and demonstrating its cloud robot platform in both Sprint’s (News - Alert) exhibition booth and the CloudMind’s booth.
