The Invictus Games recently took place in Toronto, Canada, and the U.S. Team sported a new wearable technology that combines the benefits of a phone and a fitness tracker with real time health and wellness insights. Customized specifically for the event by Revolutionary Tracker, a company that makes wearable solutions for consumer and commercial applications, and featuring Samsung (News - Alert) wearable technologies, the solution offers benefits to the wearer and the people in their support communities.

The Invictus Games uses adaptive sports to help wounded warriors in their recovery. Revolutionary Tracker provided an integrated solution using Samsung Gear S3 wearables and GearUp API services platform alongside its communication and location ecosystem, which was designed to give the U.S. team, coaches and managers connectivity, real-time location awareness, and health & wellness insights using onboard heart rate sensors and activity tracking.
Revolutionary Tracker provides a platform developed through a collaboration of technology professionals with diverse expertise in cellular communications and geospatial engineering. The solution uses a customized Samsung Gear S3 wearable, which was provided to ninety warrior athletes and coaches who used the platform to leverage a series of dynamic displays and alerts designed for the event. It is powered by the joining of Revolutionary Tracker’s framework and Samsung’s wearable API platform, GearUp, to deliver real-time health intelligence, geo-location for improved safety, and notification task alerts and hands-free calling.
