In a recent release, GMO GlobalSign, a Certificate Authority and provider of identity and security solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT), announced that its cloud-based, scalable Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solution has been integrated with the Arm Mbed Cloud platform.
This integration is designed to enable any third-party developer using Arm’s Mbed Cloud to more quickly automate the issuance of digital certificates from GlobalSign, along with certificate management services. The integration also helps ensure that every Mbed supported device can now have a unique device certificate from a trusted third party such as GlobalSign.
GlobalSign has built a managed PKI platform to address the next generation certificate needs of the IoT. The GlobalSign platform offers the industry’s fastest certificate issuance capabilities of more than 3,000 certificate issuances per second along with unmatched certificate management volume. To complement this high performance, GlobalSign offers a simple and modern restful API to consume these Certificate Authority (CA (News - Alert)) services. This enables technical partners and application developers to quickly and easily integrate PKI services into their offering.

GlobalSign and Arm initially announced a partnership last year for enhanced IoT security.
