Polte recently introduced Polte Proximity, a solution designed to deliver secure social distancing and contact tracing to support organizations returning to work amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“People are the most important assets of any organization. We realized that Polte's asset tracking solution was easily adapted to create a better, more secure way for organizations to allow their people to feel more confident about going back to work,” said Ed Chao, CEO, Polte. “We are excited to accelerate an organization's ability to automate monitoring of new safety policies while empowering employees as part of the new normal in business operations.”

The Polte Proximity solution reportedly is made up of a Mobile IoT device, an ID badge or facility access card, the Polte IoT Cloud, and analytics. The device connects to 4G LTE (News - Alert) and 5G cellular networks and cloud computing infrastructure in order to trace employees.

Polte said its goal is to harness Mobile IoT and cloud computing technology to help companies slow the spread of COVID-19 and automate monitoring of new safety protocol compliance. Polte also has committed to donating half of the profits from Polte Proximity in 2020 to COVID-19 relief efforts.
