Kajeet Delivers Secure Device and Application Management in DirectAccess

By Maurice Nagle July 29, 2021

The public internet is not a safe place. Nefarious actors poke and prod possible areas of weakness to exploit a single chink the armor, all in the name of access. Controlling access is central to data security, especially in our anytime, anywhere, always-on world.

Kajeet announced the arrival of DirectAccess, a secure private pathway for organizations to manage IoT devices and mission critical applications at scale.

"We are excited to expand our support of safe and reliable IoT connections with the launch of DirectAccess," noted Michael Cooley, general manager, enterprise at Kajeet. "In today's environment, trusting public internet connectivity to power business applications and connect IoT devices is extremely risky. DirectAccess enables organizations to create a private, secure and reliable route to communicate with their IoT endpoints, while eliminating the public internet security risks and threats."

With great power comes great responsibility; the IDC projects that by 2025, 152,000 devices will connect to the internet every minute. As the number of hacks and breaches grows in tandem, it is integral to maintain control.

Road Runner Media experienced this in real time. Networking scale pushed the organizations to leverage methods of access that introduced vulnerability and were far too time consuming. Seeking automation and enhanced security, the firm found Kajeet.

Jeff Anderson at Road Runner Media explained, "Kajeet offered us an opportunity to work side-by-side with its development team to build a best-in-class solution. We are very happy with the result, since Kajeet DirectAccess significantly lowered our security exposure and gives us more control over our IoT environment."
