Retail Digitalization Enhanced by Hanshow IoT Platform

By Greg Tavarez May 31, 2022

Electronic shelf labels are being adopted by retailers to help reduce operating costs. This is an example of the retail industry moving more toward retail digitalization.

To further help the retail industry expand and upgrade its digitalization, digital solutions provider Hanshow introduced a new IoT platform, All-Star, which will provide one-stop IoT solutions from IoT device management to digital operations upgrades.

Through All-Star, retail customers will establish IoT equipment management capabilities and will build business applications and integrate customized business connections. This will boost operational efficiency of smart stores and elevate in-store experience for customers. Key functions will include pricing management, inventory management, picking, geolocation, dynamic pricing, promotion boards, interactive marketing, digital payment, passenger flow analysis and automatic monitoring patrol.

The All-Star platform will work as an integrated system for the management of a store’s digital devices and will provide SaaS (News - Alert) and private deployment solutions. The two solutions support unified user authentication and third-party application access integration with an open API based on HTTP.

A key product innovation, with All-Star, is to solve the new challenges arising with the amount of IoT devices operating on different networks and communicating on different transmission signals. Each retail solution management platform can be accessed through All-Star for a holistic integration of all the core business operation processes, which will simplify the maintenance of these devices.

“Hanshow has developed All-Star and the rest of its solutions specifically with global retailers in mind to achieve a more holistic form of digitalization. These new solutions, software and transmission technologies all combine to help retailers in Europe move into an exciting new era of digitalization,” said CEO Shiguo Hou.

In addition, Hanshow developed a communications protocol that uses one transmission frequency to communicate with Hanshow IoT devices, easing the burden on the range of signal frequencies previously needed.
