Senet, CalChip Simplify Global LoRaWAN IoT Deployment

By Greg Tavarez September 16, 2022

LoRaWAN is one of the fastest growing technology standards being adopted because of its ability to meet diverse IoT needs. With 173 LoRaWAN network operators globally, according to the LoRa Alliance, utility companies save resources and reduce costs, cities become smarter and safer, and logistics operations and asset management are streamlined.

Senet owns and operates a LoRaWAN network in the U.S. and offers private, owner-operated network options for enterprise and multi-location businesses. The cloud-based software and services developer for the on-demand deployment of IoT networks will partner with CalChip Connect to support LoRaWAN solution demand globally.

CalChip provides e-commerce and distribution services worldwide, and Senet provides LoRaWAN network coverage and connectivity readiness in over 180 countries. Combined, the two will bring Senet compatible LoRaWAN gateways and sensor-enabled end devices to market through the CalChip e-commerce platform.

“We are excited to be partnering with Senet to provide the products and solutions connected to one of the largest and fastest-growing IoT networks in the world,” said Jason Giuliano, CEO of CalChip.

Senet Radio Access Network partners, vertical market solution providers and end customers will shorten their deployment times and accelerate ROI knowing they are working with LoRaWAN hardware and network connectivity that was pre-qualified to be interoperable.

CalChip will manage inventory levels, warehousing and shipping of the growing number of Senet compatible LoRaWAN gateways and end-devices on behalf of the OEMs. CalChip will also provide customized, pre-provisioned solution bundles and direct shipping to end customers, supporting rapid deployment and enhancing the customer’s out-of-the-box experience.

“With fewer steps required to deploy an end-to-end solution and value-added services built into the procurement processes, this is an example of how the LoRaWAN ecosystem has matured to provide tangible cost and time-saving benefits to customers ready to deploy solutions today,” said Bruce Chatterley (News - Alert), CEO of Senet.
