Smart modules enable developers to create IoT devices that are more like consumer gadgets by allowing app and mobile  software to leverage new features and putting a premium on ease-of-use. Telit smart modules, for example, offer multi-standard wireless connectivity to support multiple architectures and applications.

Telit’s SE150A4 series, the first generation of its smart modules with Android, supports LTE (News - Alert) Category 4, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity as well as an embedded GNSS receiver in one package. The SE250B4 smart module series is the evolution of the SE150A4 smart module and provides native support for integrated peripherals, like high-resolution touch displays, advanced cameras and popular audio and digital sensor interfaces.

SE250B4 is powered by the Qualcomm (News - Alert) QCM2290 SoC with a built-in Qualcomm Adreno GPU 702 at 845MHz. It supports comprehensive multimedia features and multiple wireless technologies, such as LTE Category 4, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0 and GNSS in one package. This makes it ideal for mobile point-of-sale systems, smart alarm panels, security surveillance cameras and systems, home automation, industrial personal digital assistants and police and law enforcement equipment, just to name a few use cases.

The SE250B4 is highly suitable for for a wide range of applications that require mobility, high data rates, advanced human-machine interfaces and edge computing functions. It helps developers reduce time to market, R&D costs, and TCO.

“Our commitment to offering customers the most advanced solutions for streamlining development and production processes is reflected in our new SE250B4 smart module series,” said Manish Watwani, chief marketing and product officer, Telit.

The SE250B4 smart module series strengthens Telit’s smart module portfolio and strengthens its overall market presence in the sector.
