In reference architecture-related news, autonomous and electric vehicle data solutions provider Wejo announced that it is extending its collaboration with Microsoft (News - Alert) through the adoption of the Microsoft Connected Fleets reference architecture.
Since 2014, Wejo has made access to connected car data easier and more secure. Now, Wejo dives into the Microsoft partner ecosystem that addresses the fleet management market by helping its independent software providers (ISVs) and system integrators (SIs), along with other fleet managers.
The long-story-short of this Wejo-Microsoft objective is to derive even more actionable insights by going beyond once-limited data sets and basic dashboards. By integrating fleet data into its core business procedures, the Microsoft Connected Fleets reference architecture will enable the simplification of specialized analytics and value extraction from vehicle data, thus streamlining Wejo’s real-time processes.
With the reference architecture adopted for this extended collab, ISVs, SIs, and fleet managers can access Wejo’s connected vehicle data more efficiently, facilitate faster integrations with customer-specific requirements, enable functions for field-specific services, deliver fleet management capabilities without the need to retrofit hardware, and more.
