Actelis Selected by the US Air Force for IoT Networking Modernization

“Modernize. Digitize. Protect.”

That’s the M.O. of Actelis, a networking solutions provider with “cyber-hardened, rapid deployment offerings for wide area IoT applications,” as Actelis (News - Alert) describes. Whether it’s business Ethernet or residential broadband for service providers, or a variety of well-designed networking options for IoT sites and campuses and smart city environments (e.g. smart rail and smart utilities, intelligent traffic systems, etc.), Actelis makes high-performance capabilities available to everyone they can (and to everything they can, amongst the greater Internet of Things landscape).

Here, “everyone” includes the United States Air Force, as well.

As of this month, Actelis Networks, Inc. has officially been selected by the U.S. Air Force to take the modernization pillar of their ongoing mission and apply it to the Air Force’s on-base networking infrastructure. Actelis’ hybrid fiber-copper networking solutions will extend connectivity to 41 total sites, enabling data services, monitoring and control for mission-critical systems.

Actelis’ military customers not only experience immediate benefits, but also gain a multitude of long-term investment advantages: the adaptability of Actelis’ solutions allows them to adjust to evolving needs. At a glance, one can see that Actelis' network switches and aggregation devices are easily reconfigurable. This ensures swift integration of new devices and applications, whether over traditional copper and coax networks or modern fiber networks, all within a unified ecosystem. This helps create an expanding and seamless hybrid network, managed by the company’s intelligent EMS.

“Our solutions continue to be a perfect match for military bases looking to instantly and securely update their networks in a highly cost-effective manner,” said Tuvia Barlev, CEO of Actelis. “The system we will deploy for the Air Force adds to other bases we helped modernize with the Army and Navy, and can be easily replicated for more bases nationwide and worldwide.”

“We’ve designed our solutions to anticipate future network growth; this allows us to scale when the time is right,” Barlev added. “The applications we enable are virtually limitless.”

This new implementation will be deployed in conjunction with two long-time Actelis integration partners, ESS Networks (based out of Colorado) and IP Integration, Inc. (based out of California).
