Morse Mirco to Demonstrate Versatility of Modern IoT through Wi-Fi HaLow Technology

By Alex Passett January 08, 2024

Dependable IoT connectivity providers in 2024 will strive to connect much-needed products with a ton of services that make folks’ lives and environments – at home, on the job site, you name it – as reliably efficient as they are comfortable and secure.

Today, this involves new Wi-Fi HaLow innovations, courtesy of Morse Micro, a provider focused on ultra-long range, ultra-low power interoperability solutions for Internet of Things applications.

(A quick note: The first time I penned a piece about Wi-Fi HaLow capabilities was March of 2023; the story concerned a global IoT solutions company called Quectel. What’s even more notable is that a month later, Quectel and Morse Micro actually announced their strategic partnership to deliver additional Wi-Fi HaLow solutions to market.)

In that vein, we have today’s coverage:

Ahead of this year’s International CES (News - Alert) in Las Vegas, Morse Mirco announced that it will be unveiling a whole host of new customer ecosystem innovations. These demonstrations will reportedly showcase, quote, “additional groundbreaking capabilities” of Wi-Fi HaLow tech that will support unique requirements that continue to fill growing IoT markets.

According to Michael De Nil, Morse Micro’s co-founder and CEO:

“Wi-Fi HaLow technology extends beyond the limited reach of legacy Wi-Fi, while providing throughputs no other long-range wireless technology can match. Momentum is building for Wi-Fi HaLow, with the Wi-Fi Alliance (News - Alert) taking major steps to promote the protocol's benefits for the IoT. Our partners have incorporated our complete Wi-Fi HaLow connectivity solution to develop IoT products for a host of consumer and enterprise applications that are driving the mass market adoption of Wi-Fi HaLow technology.”

Morse Micro is set to demonstrate its Wi-Fi HaLow tech that spans plenty of IoT applications, from smart home to automation and industrial and beyond.

Highlights of what Morse Micro has been working on include the following:
