Enhancing Private Network Security for Efficient IoT: NEXCOM, CTOne and Vertex are Making it Happen

That’s the gist of these three.

But what other common denominators do they share?

Well, take news that broke just earlier this week: NEXCOM, CTOne and Vertex have officially joined forces for what they call “a groundbreaking PoC (Proof of Concept) targeted to advance 5G private network security within semiconductor manufacturing site framework.”

Designed to address specific IoT and cybersecurity challenges commonly encountered in OT networks/environments, a collaborative solution to improve protections and make possible more seamless integrations into existing network architectures (with minimal mid-deployment operational disruptions) is certainly what the IoT doctor ordered, one might say.

Why else, though? Essentially, look at it this way – in the semiconductor industry (i.e. pivotal for IoT) for instance, manufacturing sites are prime targets for cyberattacks due to “the sensitive nature of their intellectual property and the critical role they play in global supply chains,” according to a case study assembled primarily by NEXCOM and CTOne. Thus, fortifying private networks is key.
