Zoho Announces Low-Code IoT Platform, Increases Support for IIoT and Smart Buildings via Pre-Built Solutions

By Alex Passett September 25, 2024

Happy Hump Day, readers.

Let’s speak for a moment about Zoho Corporation.

This summer, fellow tech news writer Tracey Schelmetic penned two pieces about Zoho (News - Alert); one on CustomerZone360 News when Zoho previewed its Zoho CRM for Everyone product, and the other on MSP Today when Zoho announced the results of the 2023 State of Customer Operations for U.S. Small Businesses report.

Suffice it to say, Zoho is passionate about delivering exceptional products that resonate with customers. “For more than 25 years,” the company wrote, “we've been bucking Silicon Valley trends, taking our own approach to building products. In that time, we’ve brought more than 55 products to the market, and it all stems from our careful decisions and our drive to deliver real value.”

We like this; creating real value (not just empty, short-term buzz).

And in this vein of empowering businesses with valuable products, we’ve got news that broke earlier this morning:

Zoho Corporation announced the launch of Zoho IoT.

This branching-out into IoT bodes well for everyone involved, if you ask us. See, Zoho IoT has reportedly been built as a highly scalable and user-friendly (plus, low-code) platform that will enable businesses to build and deploy new customer IoT applications. (Or to augment readily available IoT solutions that can cater to multiple distinct verticals.)

Here are two quick excerpts from the official announcement:

Zoho IoT features advanced AI capabilities, allowing business users to develop powerful custom solutions more efficiently. Its compatibility with third-party hardware ensures seamless integration into existing systems, allowing businesses to scale rapidly. The platform is also built with robust security measures, ensuring data privacy and compliance with global standards.

By leveraging Zoho IoT, businesses can transform data into actionable insights, predict system outages, identify anomalies or forecast trends, optimize operations, and enhance customer experiences.

At this time, Zoho expects this Zoho IoT platform to prove especially beneficial for:

“We believe that connecting the Internet of Things with business workflows is key to creating a seamless customer experience,” said Mani Vembu, Chief Operating Officer at Zoho. “Zoho IoT is a platform-first solution, designed to offer customizable and flexible features for a range of industries. With its low-code, interoperable and secure framework, Zoho IoT simplifies adoption while delivering powerful functionality that elevates operational efficiency and customer experience beyond standard offerings.”

Part of the #TECHSUPERSHOW experience, this event combines educational conference programming with a robust exhibit hall, networking events and other activities, bringing together buyers and providers of business technology products and services that are huge for IoT.
