PNMsoft: Low-Code Platforms Webinar with Frontica

By

PNMsoft, a provider of Intelligent BPM Software (iBPMS) solutions, recently partnered with John Rymer, Analyst, Forrester Research and PNMsoft customer, Geir Inge Imsland, manager of Process Development, Frontica, to hold a webinar, “Low-Code Platforms: Myths & Facts.”

Frontica provides staffing, consulting, technology and other outsourcing services to the oil and gas industry and Imsland shared Frontica's first-hand experience with PNMsoft’s platform Sequence, including lessons learned, best practice advice and ROI.

“Low-code platforms offer businesses a unique opportunity to transform their IT strategies and processes,” said James Luxford, CTO, PNMsoft. “However, there are common misconceptions regarding what it means to be ‘low-code,’ namely how it affects the roles of IT and business personnel.”

Three of the myths that Frontica encountered when using Sequence were that low-code platforms are for citizen developers, not pro developers, that low-code platforms eliminate the need for any programming, and that low-code platforms are only good for small scale applications.

“The main benefit for us is cost and time savings in our dev projects. Our customers also see these benefits by taking advantage of more efficient apps & processes in their daily work,” said Imsland. “Start out with a process that is well known and not too big and complex. It will help you save time and avoid many rounds of conversations between IT, business analysts and end users. The learning curve for developers won’t be too steep when starting out small, either.”

PNMsoft and Frontica have a lasting relationship that was built on respect for the Sequence’s technology. PNMsoft wants simplicity for the companies that use their technology. Even though they are still some myths about the technology, PNMsoft will likely be a presence in the oil and gas industry thanks to Frontica.
