Leading Internet of Things event returns to IoT Evolution Expo in Las Vegas

Norwalk, CT—March 17, 2016—TMC and Crossfire Media announced today the return of the highly-anticipated Battle of the Platforms competition at IoT Evolution Conference & Expo being held July 11-14, 2016 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.  The Battle of the Platforms is an exciting opportunity for leading companies to present cutting-edge IoT platforms, and for businesses to hear and see what the market has to offer. This year’s competition will commence on July 11th at 4pm and will end with a reception at 6pm.

The Battle of the Platforms will provide participants the opportunity to demonstrate their platform live to a panel of judges, as well as an audience full of technology end-users and buyers. Judging will be based on the submission of a completed entry form plus the live demonstration. Winners will be selected from each of the following categories:

  • Best Industrial Implementation - The use of IoT in Industry continues to increase production, enable predictive management and deliver improve quality assurance. The winner of this award has enabled better management for production and enterprise distribution
  • Best Analytics Platform - From the Dashboard to Business Intelligence the use of analytics to process and analyze the information available from internal sensors and out side data sources is a key to success data analytics.  This award is for companies distinguishing their ability to deliver diverse data sets and provide real time analysis.
  • Best Smart Home Award - The home is  probably the most diverse implementation and requires not only strong gateway integration but also smart phone / tablet interfaces with rich user experiences.  This award is provided to the company enabling diverse services while enabling home users the ability manage and maintain in an any to any atmosphere.
  • Best Telematics Solution - The Connected Vehicle represents a host of opportunities to provide maintenance, improve driving, deliver entertainment and enhance performance.  This award is aimed at highlighting the use cases for telematics implementations from fleet management to usage based insurance solutions.
  • IoT Security Solutions Award -  While the news is full of fear and threats the ability to harden, deliver and detect threats is about vigilance. This award is for the security solution that manages to maintain and monitor IoT solutions.
  • Best Application Developer Platform - At the core of every platform is the ability to enable device features and functions for sensors, module and devices.  To distinguish the best developer platform from the rest the developer needs access to tools and frameworks that enable applications and services quickly and iteratively.
  • Best Overall - goes to the company that represents the most useful implementation.
