IoT Evolution Expo Gold Sponsor Radix IoT Introduces Mango 5.1 with MQTT Publisher Support for Monitoring and Scalability

On the home page for IoT Evolution Expo – taking place February 13-15, 2024, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida – there are several great testimonials from business leaders that have previously attended the informative IoT-centric expo itself, as well as the larger ITEXPO #TECHSUPERSHOW it’s a part of. One testimony currently quoted on the IoT Evolution Expo page (at the time this article was published) comes from Michael Skurla, co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Radix IoT. Skurla stated that IoT Evolution Expo/ITEXPO (News - Alert) in general “get better every year” and is “one of the best out there for Internet of Things-minded organizations.”

Additionally, I had the pleasure of meeting up with Skurla in person on the show floor as the expo hall hustled and bustled in February of 2023. (I’d even penned a big pre-expo piece before this past show, and it featured Radix IoT, Skurla himself, and an assessment of IoT industry and how applications therein are achieving massive scale, these days. Read that rundown in full here.)

Several months later – June of last year, to be specific – Radix IoT made headlines again: Radix’s Mango 5 released, promising to “revolutionize distributed deployment by making IoT scalability intuitive for integrators, contractors, and end-users.” Mango 5’s many automated workflow features were detailed therein, and that in itself is a topic that segues very nicely into two things for today:

  1. IoT Evolution Expo 2024 is, as mentioned, right around the corner, where Radix IoT will again be present. As a Gold sponsor at the show, Radix IoT will proudly continue to showcase why it’s currently trusted at more than 30,000 locations worldwide, in terms of driving uptime performance with comprehensive solutions that often take multiple vendors to solve.
  2. Just earlier this morning, Radix IoT made a new announcement: The company introduced Mango 5.1, now with enhanced Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) publishing support.

According to what was announced, this “fortifies the company’s market leadership as the IoT platform of choice for advanced scalability and monitoring of globally diverse facilities.” Building on MQTT’s widening adoption as an open-source protocol for data exchange and communication between various IoT devices, Mango 5.1 “reduces bandwidth usage to enhance the IoT system’s resilience, performance, and reliability with unprecedented scalability options.”

Notably, Mango 5.1 also includes other enhancements based on customers’ requests and overall feedback that Radix has since taken into account. They include:

“With Mango 5.1’s enhanced MQTT publishing support, owners, operators, and managers of smart infrastructure can use MQTT easily with existing devices in their portfolio that communicate on any of the other 21 protocols Mango supports,” said Skurla. “This allows for thousands of more devices and integrations to meet the needs of smart buildings, telecommunications infrastructure, data centers, as well as the energy sector.”
