See You at IoT Evolution Expo!

IoT Evolution Expo is just around the corner, and Carl Ford, Ken Briodagh, and I all hope to see you there.

As a reminder, this event will take place Feb. 7 through 10 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. At this gathering, which kicks off at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, you can find out how IoT is transforming the enterprise; get hands-on training and practical content; learn about real-world implementations and key takeaways from them that you can use.

Attendees can look forward to keynotes and presentations from such organizations as Gogo Business Aviation, Cisco Systems, the Industrial Internet Consortium, Ingenu, Kore, Telit, and Verizon. And a big thank you goes out to our event sponsors Telit, Kore, Numerex, Eurotech, Ingenu, Harman, and Verizon.

The IoT Evolution CEO Innovation Summit will feature a range of top-drawer speakers including CEOs from Crossfire Media (Carl Ford), Ingenu (John Horn), and myDevices (Jeff Smith), and respected industry analysts and advisors including James Brehm, Chris Fine, and Matt Hatton.

Meanwhile, the IoT Security Track will offer intelligence about that all-important issue of security. Led by Carl Ford and Ken Briodagh, editorial director of TMC’s online IoT Evolution coverage, these men and their guests will discuss the problems facing the industry now “and whether or not the OEMs and DNSSec folks need to go to the woodshed,” as they put it. The security track will also provide on update on standards work related to security, HIPAA for IoT, and a summary assessment of where IoT security is and where it needs to go.

And IoT in the Channel will explore where to start, how to build support, and how to overcome obstacles in deploying IoT solutions. Finding the Support for Channels and Corporations, Making the Jump and Solving the Last Mile of IoT, and Managing the Channel at the Beginning will be among the sessions related to the channel.

There will, of course, also be an IoT exhibit space. The IoT Evolution Expo will include opportunities to learn about IoT enterprise operations, connected life and work, what’s new for IoT developers, and business intelligence and machine learning. The IoT Evolution Expo hall, meanwhile, will feature presentations from the Business Impact Award Winners, case study sessions, and special IoT Evolution Theater content.

Also, for the first time, IoT Evolution Expo will feature a co-located Industrial IoT Conference. Put on by IoT Evolution along with the Industrial Internet Consortium, this conference will focus on IoT technologies and solutions specifically related to manufacturing and industrial applications. Themes of the conference will include business model transformation and just in time IoT solutions, gateway functions on the factory floor, how to harness sensor data for manufacturing insight, IIoT’s impact on manufacturing workforce and required skillsets, industrial controls of legacy systems, IT’s role in the IIoT, interoperability of devices and standards, the role of new distributed computing architectures to support the IIoT, and security and privacy concerns.

Telit IoT Innovation will also take place alongside IoT Evolution Expo in February. This special event will educate attendees on how Telit is working with organizations of all sizes to help them accelerate time to market and ignite business transformation centered on IoT solutions. Telit IoT Innovation will feature a variety of keynotes and breakout sessions related to Smart Solutions and Tools, and Technologies and Resources. Telit will also be hosting the Telit Best Practice Showcase on Tuesday afternoon. The showcase will highlight and define the various stages of IoT development and the best practices required to deliver a successful IoT solution that offers value, operational efficiencies, and profitability.

The IoT Certification Course is another special event at IoT Evolution Expo. Taking place Tuesday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., it will offer participants the ability to learn from and receive certification on various aspects of IoT, including the basics, connectivity, and machine learning.

As you can see, Carl and Ken have put together an impressive IoT program, and we invite you to take a look to get more details on what IoT Evolution Expo has to offer by visiting www.iotevolutionexpo.com/east/.

We hope to see you there.
