Soracom, an advanced IoT services connectivity provider, has certainly had its hands full, as of late. The news we’ve covered on our sites includes:

Well, given this article’s title today, you know we’ve got more Soracom updates to share.

Yesterday, Soracom announced that it has officially partnered with UScellular.

Together, Soracom and UScellular plan to offer a new IoT data plan designed to achieve two key things:

Available now, Plan-US offers nationwide, multicarrier 4G, 5G, LTE (News - Alert)-M and NB-IoT data, and it includes regional and major carriers in the U.S. for maximum coverage density (even in remote and rural areas). With Plan-US, IoT developers can tap into affordable monthly data packages that make deployment costs clearer and more predictable. In support of IoT deployments at every stage (from prototyping to full release), Plan-US’s bundles include 1MB up to 10GB, plus the ability to add profiles for global roaming or maximum multicarrier coverage via Soracom Subscription Containers.

“We’re excited to work with Soracom to provide a seamless wireless experience for our customers with IoT and M2M application needs and help get them reliably connected, wherever they are,” said Kim Kerr, Senior Vice President, Enterprise Sales and Operations for UScellular.

"Coverage you can count on is everything in IoT, and we have been looking for ways to provide denser coverage for less populated areas in the U.S.," said Kenta Yasukawa, CTO and co-founder of Soracom. "For customers with predictable data needs, our Soracom Plan-US combines the simplicity of bundled data with the power of cloud-native 5G, LTE-M, and NB-IoT to put IoT projects on a fast track to scale."
