Novatel Wireless Intros Functional Samples of Enabler CDMA2000 1X M2M Module

Novatel Wireless, Inc., a provider of wireless broadband access solutions, has released the readiness of its machine-to-machine (M2M) CDMA2000 1X module, the Enabler HS 3001 supporting CDMA 800 and 1900 MHz.

Currently available for testing and evaluation, the new HS 3001 Enabler can be used in markets such as security, alarm, telemetry, asset tracking, POS, mHealth, AVL and AMI/AMR looking for high reliability and a future-proof design.

The Enabler HS 3001 supports essential features such as Voice, SMS, Packet Data TCP/IP and UDP/IP software stack with Packet Assembler Disassembler and Common footprint across all the modules.

Posing a dimension of about 28 x 25 x 4.5 mm, the new model is FOTA enabled with UART and USB interfaces support. In addition it also offers optional Integration with CMS solution for quick development and deployment.

In other news, Novatel Wireless’ Ovation MC679 4G LTE Mobile Internet Key has been introduced on the new 4G LTE network from TELUS. The LTE wireless network, which facilitates faster downloads of music, video and work files, can be now accessed by TELUS clients through the small and slender Ovation MC679
