HAE Innovations Launches the IoPass Device Development Platform

By Ken Briodagh August 01, 2016

HAE Innovations, a services and solutions provider for developing and testing connected devices, has announced the launch of IoPass, an IoT solution for developers, integrators and service assurance providers.

IoT developers have testing challenges throughout the product design process, including verification of technical performance to marketing requirements. This means developers must wait until the design nears completion to verify the performance on a live network, or invest in costly, complex mobile network simulators originally designed for testing smartphones.

IoPass is a testing tool designed with an intuitive user interface for non-wireless engineers that want an easy-to-use and cost effective test platform. It has a custom development environment and automated test suites.

“We are excited that we are now able to provide global IoT manufacturers a solution to test performance at all stages of development from chip design to service deployment,” said Hesham El Hamahmy, CEO, HAE Innovations.

The integration of multiple IoT connected systems into today's wireless networks continues to increase in test complexity. IoPass aims to simplify that.

Jeff Horner, CTO, HAE added, “IoPass will help IoT developers and wireless operators alike ensure that tomorrow's devices will connect to wireless networks successfully and efficiently.”

IoPass decreases IoT testing complexity and increases speed to market by providing IoT developers a safe and repeatable simulated test network environment; something live network testing cannot provide.

Development is all about getting to market as fast as possible these days in the IoT, but without proper testing, this speed to market is only going to result in ineffective, faulty products that frustrate users and inhibit IoT adoption. Let’s get ahead of that potential problem by building a robust testing infrastructure which will provide independent certification of IoT products and solutions before they get to market.
