SkyBitz Partners with KORE Telematics for Cellular-Based GPS Tracking Options

By Anamika Singh October 07, 2009
SkyBitz, a remote asset management solution provider, announced the expansion of its solution suite to include cellular based GPS tracking options.

In partnership with KORE Telematics, a digital wireless services provider specializing in machine-to-machine (M2M) communications, SkyBitz is able to provide a single source for M2M solutions.

SkyBitz CEO and president Homaira Akbari said, "With this new offering, SkyBitz offers a broader range of solutions to address customers' immediate needs and to empower them to improve and grow their businesses."

"The convergence of these technologies also unlocks even more opportunities for innovation as remote asset management continues to expand into new applications and markets," Akbari said.

SkyBitz's expanded solutions suite is ideal for local delivery, waste management and truckload operations that require a high level of reporting. It allows for easier installation on flatbed operations and includes greater security and information transparency for operations with the addition of compatible sensors.

"KORE leads the market in providing fully integrated GSM and CDMA network services using common platforms and tools, enabling market leading applications partners to deliver a comprehensive set of M2M-based solutions to their customer base," said Alex Brisbourne, president and COO of KORE Telematics.

"We are particularly pleased to be powering SkyBitz expansion into terrestrial services given their long history of satellite leadership, helping them to drive cost, efficiency and security improvements for remote asset applications," Brisbourne said.
