Vigilus Reveals ACT! for Notes CRM for Blackberry Devices

By Michelle Robart September 18, 2008
Vigilus today revealed the availability of BizMobile, allowing users of the best-selling Lotus Notes CRM, ACT! for Notes, to access their business information on BlackBerry devices.

With BizMobile, ACT! for Notes users can quickly and easily extend a familiar collaborative interface to their individual BlackBerry devices. BizMobile enables users to create, access, store and update contacts, activities, opportunities and notes from the BlackBerry just as they would on their laptop or desktop computers. By synchronizing information between users’ PCs and their Blackberry devices, BizMobile gives them access to the most updated information anytime, anywhere.

In addition, BizMobile information is always available, even when in out-of-coverage areas.

"The world is going mobile and we want to be at the forefront of that movement," stated Joe Singer, principal at Vigilus. "We believe that our users will soon be doing up to 90 percent of their work wirelessly rather than through laptops and PCs. BizMobile is designed to get them there."

By developing BizMobile on the Vaultus Mobile Platform, Vigilus joins the list of top-tier companies that Vaultus has helped navigate toward the growing world of mobile access.

"Companies like Abbott Labs, Genzyme and The U.S. Army are already working with us to mobilize their enterprise applications. Now Vigilus brings that power to thousands of business users by mobilizing ACT! for Notes," said Vaultus CEO, David Birnbach. "The mobile device is quickly emerging as the primary access point for most enterprise information and companies recognize that they need to be on that cutting edge."

The Vaultus Mobile Platform is designed to help enterprises and independent software vendors seamlessly deploy their packaged, homegrown and independently developed applications onto BlackBerry, WinMobile and Treo smartphones. Thanks to its Vaultus' patented data compression technology, Lease Key technology, and data synchronization engine, information is always available quickly, securely and from any device.

Based in Jackson, New Jersey, Vigilus is a top IBM Lotus Notes/Domino solution provider, consultant and training organization with over 10 years of experience in the Contact Relationship Management (CRM) industry. Vigilus has built a reputation as a progressive company with a solid customer--centric approach to business. Its understanding of the sales process, combined with the ability to integrate multiple systems and environments, has made it a first choice for companies looking to design and roll out solutions on the Lotus Notes/Domino platform.

Vaultus' Mobile Application Platform enables workers to have instant access to their reports, sales, field service, and other applications from their mobile devices. Additionally, Vaultus' Mobile Application Studio enables IT departments to cut deployment time in half and dramatically reduce support costs.
