Zadara On-Demand Edge Cloud Services Arrive in Africa

By

The edge is gaining intelligence, performance and importance, taking on a much different meaning today than a few short years ago. The cloud is central to the evolution of the edge and supporting the growth of a future forward, digital first approach to operations.

Zadara announced Africa’s largest network of interconnected, carrier-and cloud-neutral data center facilities, Africa Data Centres, and service provider Global Sense deployed Zadara’s edge cloud services to their marketplace.

Tal Rotem, sales director, South EMEA & LATAM for Zadara, explained “We are proud to work with Africa Data Centres – their state-of-the-art data centers combined with Zadara technology will allow African organizations access to advanced, localized compute network and storage cloud services. Together, we are enabling customers to reduce cost, increase agility and drive productivity within their businesses.”

Currently, Zadara products and services are available in Midrand, South Africa with further expansion into all Africa Data Centre locations coming in the not too distant future.

“Through Global Sense, a South Africa-based systems integrator and strategic Zadara partner, customers in our facilities can access fully-managed IT infrastructure on demand, scale their solutions at any time and simplify complex hybrid deployments. It’s an honor to be a part of Zadara's growth through our secure, cloud and carrier-neutral facilities – which are rapidly expanding across the continent,” noted Jody Martin, cloud product manager for Africa Data Centres.

In May, I spoke with Zadara CEO Nelson Nahum about cloud services fueling Formula 1 results, and on IoT Evolution Expo’s keynote stage in June, Nahum took a deep dive into how the cloud offers real time assistance in fighting for the checkered flag.

What’s next for Zadara? It’s impossible to predict, but fortune favors the bold and this intrepid company is showing no signs of slowing.
