By Carolyn J Dawson November 06, 2012

Webtech Wireless Inc. recently has released its Quadrant Manager 9.7 for commercial use. The product is fully compatible with Android smartphones and tablets. Android users can gain access to a optimized mobile user experience when leveraging this solution, which was previously only offered to iPhone and iPad users in the past.

Several novel features have been incorporated into the prize-winning Quadrant Manager offering. These features assist consumers in capitalizing on their fleet operations utilizing Webtech Wireless location-based services. The latest release includes Google traffic and weather data, which are accessible as map layers. Apart from using color codes for traffic and icons, this function is comprised of comprehensive forecasts for providing weather-related data.

The latest release of Quadrant Manager also offers the most up-to-date road, well site, pipeline, and legal subdivision or LSD information in Alberta, thereby enhancing the organization’s oil and gas offerings. Dispatch teams and drivers can even use Google Maps Satellite view to simplify their work.

Several innovative temperature tracking capabilities have also been incorporated into the latest release. Accurate user control of temperature thresholds and alerts, both inside and outside of geofences is possible with Quadrant 9.7.

Additionally, large fleets are offered enhanced driver and asset administration as well as details related to yard arrival and departure, along with improved reporting. Fleet managers can therefore capitalize on the time when vehicles and drivers operate for customers in a simplified manner.

In a statement, Scott Edmonds, president and CEO of Webtech Wireless said, "We have accelerated our development efforts and reduced our time to market with new mobile products and enhancements over the last eighteen months. This is the third major release of Quadrant Manager for our commercial and government clients in 2012."

Vehicle fleet location-based services and telematics technology are offered by Webtech Wireless to commercial and government firms worldwide. End-to-end wireless offerings, which enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, environmental conformity and security of vehicle fleets, are developed, manufactured and supported by the organization. The organization’s wide-ranging array of offerings comprise of automatic vehicle location or AVL, mapping, vehicle diagnostics, CO2 reporting, navigation, messaging, and mobile resource administration.
