By Rory Lidstone December 25, 2012

TMC announced today that the second Battle of the Platforms is to take place at the upcoming M2M Evolution Miami on January 29 at 2:00 p.m. EST.

M2M Evolution Miami is collocated with ITEXPO Miami 2013, the largest and best-attended communications and technology trade show in the world, and is scheduled to run from January 30 to February 1, 2013, at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami Beach, Florida. The M2M Evolution Conference and Expo aims to highlight how M2M technologies and the "Internet of Things" can be used to improve business processes, minimize risk and drive both innovation and revenue.

The event highlights M2M applications within all vertical markets, concentrating on certain applications within a handful of sectors including supply chain, transportation, energy and healthcare.

The 2013 Battle of the Platforms is a free day of M2M programming that consists of a cocktail reception and sessions from analysts, real-life case studies and roundtable discussions on new M2M technologies and best strategies.

This offers M2M application developers, wholesale service providers and others the chance to evaluate market-leading M2M solutions.

The platforms represented at Battle of the Platforms include: Smart Energy, including smart homes and buildings, end-to-end energy management, smart metering and more;  Healthcare, which includes M2M-enabled medical applications, and M2M medical devices and hardware; Enterprise, which includes asset tracking, facilities management, mobile workforce management and more; and Service Provider, including customer experience management, the emerging role of OSS-BSS systems in the M2M value chain and much more.

M2M Evolution Miami 2013 is sponsored by ILS Technology, Spireon, Vodafone, Verizon, Axeda, AT&T, ThingWorx and Wilson Electronics Incorporated.

Aside from ITSXPO Miami 2013, M2M Evolution Miami is also collocated with StartupCamp7, a free networking and early stage start up event which helps gather and connect early stage start ups with potential collaborators, investors and clients.
