Numerex Portal Provides Subscription Management for IoT Devices

By Clayton Hamshar September 14, 2015

The IoT has created massive streams of data, which many organizations have struggled to get a handle on, but has enabled new revenue and opportunities for more efficient operations. Numerex Corp, a provider of M2M products and technology enabling the IoT, recently announced the launch of iNSITE, a cloud-based subscription management portal that complements the company’s nxFAST Industrial IoT Platform.

iNSITE is a set of tools that supports real-time account, subscription, application, billing and data analysis capabilities with a user-friendly interface. The portal is designed to help Numerex customers improve the performance of their devices, networks and application settings. Reporting comes in the form of visualizations, tracking and analytics for all subscriptions. Meanwhile, easy access to billing records and diagnostic testing tools can help customers get the most out of their data.

iNSITE is available immediately or as an automatic upgrade from the company’s pre-existing customer portal, with a range of subscription-based services on the way. These services integrate with matching Numerex APIs and will include geo-fencing, reverse geo-coding, cell ID, two-way voice and tamper detection; using the new portal these services can be managed more efficiently than ever. Numerex has also announced an upcoming data routing and normalization service that will reflect integration of Big Data.

“Our new iNSITE portal is the first step in an upgrade path that will provide Numerex customers with an enhanced, scalable, and dynamic portal interface for next-generation subscription and device management,” said Scott Wiley, SVP, Marketing and Product Management, Numerex. “The portal supports subscription management capabilities, new online billing visibility, and useful diagnostic features—all available regardless of the vertical market application.”

iNSITE is designed specifically for customized IoT solutions on the Numerex nxFAST platform. The portal can be accessed online and works on all major browsers.
