Bridging Edge and Cloud, ClearBlade Advances Simplicity and Automation with Butterfly Release

By

With a multitude of all-inclusive platforms available, ClearBlade has broken beyond the limitations that hold back cloud-based networks by developing innovative additions that expand on their existing solution to better provide for enterprises requiring reliable IoT connections. As a result, the ClearBlade IoT Cloud Platform continues to provide industry-leading IoT capability, offering a growing variety of major features that facilitate vast digital innovation and expand production scale.

The universal IoT platform aids the seamless and secure incorporation of cloud, edge, and on-premises technology into enterprise IoT to deliver indispensable savings and quicker connectivity. Aiming to provide major new capabilities and features, ClearBlade is commencing 2022 by celebrating its latest product release, Butterfly.

"The Butterfly release extends ClearBlade's already massive lead in IoT and Edge computing. The introduction of the ONNX AI inferencing engine directly into our edge and platform enables our customers to take away the complexity of running any AI models wherever needed." Aaron Allsbrook, CTO, ClearBlade.

Butterfly updates their IoT Core Platform and Edge with multiple features that include:

  • Native ONNX.ai (Beta x86) - Made readily available for anyone at the Edge, ONNX is the only available AI execution engine capable of running the same model on any processor, enabling AI developers to use models with a variety of frameworks, tools, runtimes, and compilers.
  • API and Message Throttling - As the number of IoT devices grows exponentially, API and Messaging throttling will allow enterprises to implement rules for how much these devices and users are sending and requesting data.
  • Edge Sync APIs - As enterprises expand and utilize more edge solutions, businesses would previously lose value on their solutions, but with new sync APIs, the company is now able to control the flow of individual data.

Additionally, ClearBlade's Intelligent Assets Application has been continually developed to possess new capabilities while also being updated to host a variety of new features that allow for further configuration of the app, including:

  • Heatmaps Reports - Providing filterable heat maps, the development team has organized simple to use filters that enable efficient analysis of activity that allows for any issues to be easily addressed.
  • National Language Support - Users will now be able to customize the language of the application instead of restrictions requiring them to use the language applied on their device.
  • OPC-UA Configuration - With a first-class device management configuration panel, Intelligent Assets has made it effortless to access OPC-UA streaming data; assets with ClearBlade edges now rapidly scan your network and make available the ability to ingest tags of interest directly into your business assets.
  • Webhooks Action Types - Up to date webhook action permits users to stream data to available business applications like Salesforce or Workday. When rules are satisfied and events are created, data can be sent over standard APIs with broad flexibility.
