Cyient Inks Deal to Manufacture Anthem Cockpit System

By

Anthem is a next generation-core avionics cockpit systems computing architecture introduced by Honeywell Aerospace. The new, improved flight deck will feature unparalleled levels of connectivity, an intuitive interface modeled after everyday smart devices, and a highly scalable and customizable design. Features include cloud-native communications, intuitive controls, a secure cockpit browser, landing assist, navigation and surveillance systems.

Anthem is designed to provide pilots a modern flight experience, including improved access to data, and enhanced operational efficiency and safety. For example, pilots or operators — whether in the cockpit or on their device at home — can customize the layout of digital displays within the cockpit to their preference with a few swipes – just like they would move apps around on their personal devices.

Recognizing the value of a transformative cockpit experience, technology solutions company Cyient inked a multi-year deal with Honeywell to manufacture Anthem.

The next-generation flight deck is driven by a versatile software platform that can be modified for every type of aircraft, including passenger and cargo planes, business jets, helicopters, general aviation planes, and advanced air-mobility vehicles.

"We are delighted to collaborate with Honeywell to build Honeywell Anthem, which will transform the future of aviation,” said Karthikeyan Natarajan, executive director and chief operating officer, Cyient. “This is a testament to the value we create as strategic partners for our customers in the aerospace and defense sector with our cutting-edge design-led manufacturing powered by technology.”

In the partnership, Cyient will provide turnkey manufacture and testing of multiple LRUs that make up the Honeywell Anthem avionics suite. Cyient’s supply chain management technologies and Industry 4.0 linked plants will help Honeywell obtain predictable delivery schedules and continuous quality improvement over the program’s life.

Cyient will also provide New Product Introduction manufacturing of initial builds.

“We are excited to work with Cyient on the industrialization of Honeywell Anthem with superior delivery, quality and reliable performance for our customers," said Vipul Gupta, vice president and general manager of avionics, Honeywell Aerospace.
