Quanergy LiDAR Integration for Network Optix Delivers Centimeter-Level Accuracy

By

Building intelligent video services and solutions for enterprise customers with its full-stack video platform and ecosystem is Network Optix's main focus. And Network Optix accomplishes that. Taiwan’s Porsche Showcase and Service Center, Abu Dhabi’s Royal Rose Hotel, the Samui Smart City Command Center in Thailand are only a few examples of how Network Optix implemented its modern video management system.

Of course, Network Optix, like most companies would, wanted to improve its VMS. Why not reach into LiDAR to create a solution that has 95% level accuracy when detecting people and objects in sensitive environments?

To achieve this level of accuracy, Network Optix added LiDAR sensors and smart 3D solutions provider Quanergy into its Works with Nx Marketplace and integrated Quanergy with all Powered by Nx products built with Nx Meta.

“By combining technologies, Quanergy and Network Optix have created an exceptionally accurate way of detecting, tracking and viewing people and objects as they move through sensitive or secured environments,” said Gerald Becker, vice president of markets and alliances, Quanergy.

Quanergy’s smart LiDAR solutions, which include M-Series sensors and QORTEX 3D perception software, allow businesses to leverage real-time, advanced 3D insights to transform their operations in various industries.

QORTEX DTC, which is called the brains of Quanergy’s Flow Management Platform, enables reliable and real-time tracking of people and vehicles for security, smart space and smart city applications. QORTEX DTC generates data that includes location, direction, speed and type of objects detected.

Quanergy's LiDAR 3D Object Detection is integrated with Powered by Nx products via the Nx Server API. LiDAR pulls video streams recorded in the Nx system to be analyzed within the LiDAR platform. Once an event is detected by LiDAR sensors, the event is 3D projected in the LiDAR interface and an API call is sent to the Nx system, triggering a generic event. Users designate certain actions to be triggered in response to detected events in the Nx desktop client.

“Quanergy’s 3D LiDAR technologies add an exceptional new level of people and object detection and behavior analysis that,” said Tony Luce, vice president of product marketing, Network Optix.

When combined with Powered by Nx products, companies are given a 360-degree understanding of what is happening in real time in facilities, properties and locations.
