OptConnect, Cradlepoint Partner for Fully Managed IoT Applications

OptConnect, a provider of fully managed wireless services, has announced a partnership with Cradlepoint, a provider of cloud-delivered 4G LTE and 5G wireless network edge solutions for a new Connectivity-as-a-Service offering for customers.

The new offering will provide one trusted partner that customers can rely on for all their connectivity needs. In addition to fully managed connectivity, they’ll also receive managed IoT to support enterprise and branch, primary and backup business Internet connectivity deployments.

With more organizations moving to cellular Internet service, the need for a single solution with support and flexibility that reduces the possibilities of downtime is in high demand.

Customers will get a fully managed Cradlepoint device paired with a primary SIM and multi-carrier backup SIM for Out-of-Band Management and/or failover for enhanced support. This will help minimize support calls and truck rolls for the primary SIM carrier according to officials.

As per the partnership, OptConnect’s Premier Wireless Solutions (PWS) division will sell the new offering, and support for day-to-day management will be offered through OptConnect’s headquarters in Kaysville, Utah.
