Carrier Announces New Agreement with AWS on Sustainable Solutions

By

Just before the new year, intelligent building and cold chain solutions Carrier Global Corporation announced a collaboration agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Committed to addressing the needs of our planet via the promotion of safety in spaces where people learn, work and live, Carrier’s collab with AWS is a strategic one. The SaaS solutions from Carrier to the AWS Marketplace play into their growing investment in digitally enabled lifecycle solutions designed for healthy and safe indoor environments.

With offerings in HVAC performance, sustainability and security, this news builds on Carrier’s existing work with AWS (after having joined the AWS Partner Network, or APN, back in 2021).

“Carrier is already delivering sustainable digital solutions like Abound and Lynx, and we see tremendous industry opportunities to do even more together,” said Bobby George, Senior Vice President and CDO of Carrier. “This multi-year engagement for Carrier and AWS will bring investments together to accelerate our digital capabilities, our go-to-market initiatives, and will deliver even more value to our customers.”

As mentioned, Carrier’s Abound (powered by AWS) already offers a full suite of smart solutions via data aggregation and visualization from various building systems and equipment sensors. And Lynx, which uses the AWS IoT Core, has granted customers increased visibility, connectivity, and actionable intel across their cold chain operations to improve scenarios involving temperature-sensitive cargo like food and vaccines.

“Customers are looking for solutions that increase efficiencies so they can gain insights to better operate their businesses,” said Flemming Kongsberg, Director, Business Application Alliances, AWS. “We’re excited to continue work with Carrier on cloud-based solutions that will help companies enhance operational advantages, and help customers in using cloud infrastructure.”
