Recognition of Growth in IoT: Global Telecom Recognized with Award by ACG

By

News involving partnerships, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) of businesses breaks on a near-weekly basis when it comes to the Internet of Things (IoT) world. (So it feels, at least.) It would seem then, concerning statements such as these, an organization that provides a community for growth professionals in partnerships and M&A spaces would be beneficial.

You can see where this is going.

Enter the ACG, or the Association for Corporate Growth. The ACG is precisely this; a premier global community for middle-market M&A deal-makers and business leaders focused on driving growth. Founded in 1954, the ACG brings professionals together, providing resources so they can deftly navigate industry landscapes. With near 60 total chapters today, the Association helps power new waves of innovators; specifically when it comes to IoT’s automakers, robotic firms, global logistics companies and more.

And the ACG presented a new award to the IoT connectivity engineers at Global Telecom.

Named the “Top Startup” for this year’s 28th annual awards season, Global Telecom – provider of hardware, software and AI solutions that enable reliable connectivity and security in IoT – has been recognized by the ACG’s independent panel of judges, a group comprised of, as the Association describes, “award-winning CEOs and leaders of companies that have earned top honors in previous years.”

As a new ACG-validated innovator, Global Telecom develops and manufactures its own cellular and satellite modules, abstracting connectivity management from hardware to configurable, cloud-based software. The tangible fruits of its labors have been seen in low earth orbit (LEO) satellite provider progress; one such provider that Global Telecom partnered with shortened their time-to-market by 75%, allowing them to bring two-way satellite and cellular connectivity to automotive and logistics industries. In another instance, a national wireless carrier was able to leverage Global Telecom’s fixed wireless access (FWA) technology with more than 100,000 networked devices.

Per ACG’s Awards Co-Chair Joseph H. Hirsch, who also serves as the Vice President of Valuation Research Corporation (VRC):

“In recognizing amazing companies and the 'Waves of Excellence' they symbolize, as ACG has defined, we pay homage to their culture, their strategy, and the connection and importance to the communities they serve. Their success is also a reflection of the professionalism of ACG's members — many of whom guide, support and advise them. Global Telecom is, by all means, one such company worthy of this recognition."

And naturally, per Ahmad Malkwai, CEO of Global Telecom:

“It’s an incredible honor to win this top prize from ACG in a category that includes so many incredible companies from a variety of fast-growing industries, companies that all undergo a rigorous vetting process. At Global Telecom, our FWA and IoT hardware has become a first choice for many industry leaders in EVs, emergency services and fleet management. We are equally grateful for that, and grateful to ACG for reinforcing our innovative position in the market.”
