Smart Water and Sewer Solutions, Courtesy of LTIMindtree and Metasphere

Earlier this year, I wrote several stories covering multinational information technology consulting and solutions provider LTIMindtree. (Those interested can find them here.) With a mission continually driven by innovative excellence in sustainable IoT, the company notably experienced 74.8% growth after a huge merger in 2022 (i.e. L&T Infotech and Mindtree) and has consistently been delivering value at scale for businesses looking to get to the future smarter and faster.

In the vein of sustainability through IoT-centric innovation, we should also talk about the technology and wastewater application specialists at Metasphere.

Metasphere helps its customers prevent leaks and spills, ferrying us toward a cleaner, greener world. Through its delivery of intelligent, all-in-one telemetry solutions, Metasphere provides full network visibility, performance and forecasting that reduce telemetry ownership cost for customers to manage time-critical remote assets and systems – specifically for water, wastewater, environmental and gas applications.

Now, with mention of both companies, the latest news:

Late last month, LTIMindtree was selected by none other than Metasphere as a new strategic partner. As a part of this engagement, LTIMindtree will transform Metasphere’s next-gen wastewater monitoring solution portfolio and enable scalable delivery and platform to their customers. This is all part of scaling Metasphere’s Smart Sewers management platform, which involves leak and spill prevention sensors – more than 200,000 of them – for use cases worldwide.

“We are excited to partner with Metasphere, a Grundfos company, in their modernization program,” said Sudhir Chaturvedi, President and Executive Board Member at LTIMindtree. “With increasing focus on utilities worldwide, it has become critical to improve service delivery, reduce accidents and deliver real-time insights to customers. After careful consideration by our team of experts, LTIMindtree took Metasphere's cloud architecture and optimized it for AWS scale and cost. This transformation is enabling Metasphere in optimizing up to 25% of the total cost, while delivering almost unlimited scale and enhanced performance.”

Tim O’Brien, Metasphere’s CEO, is in agreement.

“This engagement is key to our ability to deliver modern, scalable solutions to all our utility clients,” O’Brien said. “In LTIMindtree, we found an expert partner to support our diverse needs and bring in additional innovative offerings that we can integrate in our system in the future. We are confident that this partnership will bring us closer to our vision of leveraging our solutions to serve at least 10% of world’s population by 2040.”
