TGIF, readers!
This summer on our Smart City Sentinel news site, we talked about Boldyn Networks and its expanded collaboration with Airspan to strengthen 5G solutions in Sunderland, an evolving smart city environment in England. (Read the full story here.)
Today, let’s recap:
What’s Boldyn Networks all about?
Well, this well-established neutral host provider is on a mission to deliver top-tier shared communications infrastructure — the kind necessary to get us closer to a more inclusive, sustainable, and interconnected future. Future-proof networks, high-performance distributed antenna systems (DAS), small cell deployment, high-capacity fiber, you name it; put simply, Boldyn Networks aims to make connectivity all-around smarter for the future, today. Through its work with transit authorities, sports venue operators, healthcare and education institutions, enterprise manufacturers, government entities and plenty of others, Boldyn Networks and next-gen connectivity appear to be a hand-in-hand deal.
And of course (since connectivity is what we often call “the lifeblood of IoT”), let’s talk about its recently unveiled Private 5G-as-a-Service offering.
Boldyn Networks’ Private 5G-as-a-Service delivers, quote, “the full power of a hassle-free, seamless, private 5G network, without the burden of significant investment or maintenance.”
“Boldyn, a world-recognized leader in shared networks infrastructure and Europe’s leading private networks provider with more than 60 deployments,” as the official announcement described, “is investing 300 million Euros to support the broader adoption of private networks worldwide” to improve worker safety, systems’ cybersecurity measures, and overall operational efficiencies.
As Boldyn Networks lays it out, Private 5G-as-a-Service offers four tiers of service levels so teams can customize services that align with their specific use cases’ needs (with the convenience of paying in monthly installments, to boot). The four tiers in question — Innovation, Digitalisation, Automation, and Mission-Critical, all detailed here — can provide greater reliability for network operations, smart machines and related equipment management, augmented/virtual reality (AR/VR) applications, vehicle-to-everything (V2X), robotics, asset tracking, predictive maintenance and much more.
“Private 5G-as-a-Service has revolutionized our value proposition, enabling clients to benefit from a reliable network without the need for significant technology investments upfront,” explained Mikko Uusitalo, CEO of Private Networks, Europe at Boldyn Networks. “This dedicated service offers substantial savings in terms of time, resources, and finances. We handle network operations, maintenance and cybersecurity, eliminating the need for in-house capabilities and resources.”
