Connecting the Dots between Automotive and IIoT: Dig into the Data at IoT Evolution Expo 2025

By

We’re nearly in 2025, readers. That feels wild, suffice to say.

As technologies (and entire industries) advance each year — perhaps each month, at some points — the importance of impactful, data-driven insights is becoming an even bolder imperative.

Today, let’s use the Industrial Internet of Things and the automotive industry as our main example:

With the amount of data produced within automotive (and the value of all the connected vehicle systems therein), having a highly actionable plan for said data enables teams to better assess and improve their products — from the proof-of-concept level all the way through completion — is crucial.

In IIoT, implementing smart manufacturing for automotive holds potential for big (and long-term) wins. Within this sector, “the growth of data utilization is thriving parallel to the evolution of vehicular innovation,” stated James Roberts, President of IoT, LHP Analytics. “OEMs and other automotive companies are more encouraged than ever to make data analytics their top priority.”

It’s true. Well-harnessed data analytics pave the way for vastly improved vehicle assembly efficiencies, the enabling of proactive and remote monitoring (and thorough risk management protocols), and reduce costs by largely (or entirely, in some cases) eliminating unplanned downtime and maintenance needs (or even full-on equipment replacement that can drastically stall production).

And on this topic, great news: At the Industrial IoT Conference, taking place from February 11-13, 2025, at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, there will be opportunities aplenty to learn more about how automotive business leaders can benefit from making transformative IIoT-focused solutions part of their operations.

Specifically, we recommend attending a session that’s titled “Factory of the Future: Manufacturing Lessons from the Automotive Sector.” This will be taking place on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 from 10:00-10:45 AM. Consider registering here.

The Industrial IoT Conference is part of IoT Evolution Expo 2025 and the #TECHSUPERSHOW experience. Learn more here.
