Dot Ai is Simplifying Asset Intelligence and Logistics in IoT with New ZiM Product

By

Howdy, readers. As the weather chills and the holidays loom, I’m hoping for a rejuvenating start of the week for everybody.

Before the last big holiday break last month, I penned a story on our Industrial IoT News site about Dot Ai. (For those interested, read it here.)

Today, let’s revisit.

Dot Ai is an asset intelligence-focused startup with patented solutions that “cut through the chaos” of logistics, in this day and age. After all, solutions should be simple. That’s why Dot Ai’s engineers customize resilient solutions that resolve complex supply chain challenges and simplify businesses’ logistics operations. (This is accomplished largely through edge-accurate, real-time asset intelligence and AI-enhanced predictive analytics that improve customers’ experiences, increase revenue and streamline IoT/IIoT operations, as a whole.)

And in this vein, the company made official a years-in-the-making announcement just last week:

Dot Ai officially announced the launch of its new next-gen IoT tracking software: Zero Infrastructure Mesh, or “ZiM.”

Developed by RFID and IT security experts to replace oft-expensive (and outdated) technologies, ZiM can read both passive (i.e. battery-free transponders) and active (battery-powered beacons) to provide asset management data for supervisory systems. It’s mountable on moving racks or pallets, can be hardwired to power for fixed installation, features bright signaling LEDs for worker safety, and can connect to up to four general purpose I/O pins to allow for more agile workflows.

“After years of meticulous research and development, we are launching our revolutionary ZiM IoT technology in the market,” explained Edmund Nabrotzky, Dot AI’s CEO. “Unlike legacy systems, ZiM and our AI engine enable real-time and constant data collection throughout processes.”

“We believe this first-of-its-kind technology,” Nabrotzky added, “will transform the landscape of asset tracking for logistics, an industry that relies heavily on manual processes as well as RFID technology which has not seen major innovation since its conception in the 1980s.”

Full-scale production and deployment of this ZiM technology is set for the end of December. Peruse more details about ZiM here.
