Internet of Things Excellence, Exemplified by New Partnership Between OneLayer and WWT

By

G’day, readers.

This afternoon, let’s briefly talk about OneLayer and World Wide Technology, or WWT.

OneLayer (featured here earlier this summer in one of our many “ICYMI” Friday catch-ups) is on a mission to “unleash the full potential of private cellular and IoT” through strategic device security and asset management capabilities. OneLayer’s teams provide multilayered (ironic at a glance, given the company’s name) zero trust solutions for private cellular/5G/LTE devices in enterprise IoT, uniting them to offer customers a no-expertise-required approach for new use cases (particularly involving asset discovery, persistent asset tracking, and cellular network segmentation).

WWT is a privately held technology services provider that, quote, “supports the world’s largest innovators in thinking differently about what can truly drive their businesses forward.” Serving 80+ Fortune 100 companies (including its partnerships with the likes of Cisco, HPE, Dell Technologies, NetApp, and Intel), WWT seeks to equip business leaders with what they need to revamp their operations in financial services, healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing and retail (amongst others) via robust automation, connected workforces, infrastructure deployments, strategic resourcing, supply chain management and more. Read here for info on other partners of WWT, including Federated Wireless.

Now, WWT is adding another partnership to this roster after announcing its link-up with OneLayer.

According to their official announcement, this collab “aims to drive operational excellence and security in the growing private cellular market, positioning WWT as a transformational innovation enabler.”

By introducing OneLayer-WWT technologies that maximize operational efficiencies to further transform today’s workforce (i.e. through the integration of OneLayer’s OT platform with WWT’s private cellular infrastructure ecosystem), customers will reportedly be set up “to gain a competitive future-proof edge” in their respective markets.

Per OneLayer’s CEO David Mor:

“This partnership reflects WWT's vision for digital transformation. It marks an important milestone towards positioning WWT at the forefront of private cellular. Together, OneLayer and WWT are enhancing capabilities and creating new opportunities by offering technology platforms and solutions that foster creativity, unlock value, and promote sustainability.”

And per WWT’s Executive Vice President of Global Partner Alliances Bob Olwig:

“In the last two years, we announced our ambitious plans to expand into the private cellular domain with the goal of becoming one of the leading system integrators in the field. Today's partnership with OneLayer marks an additional step in our mission to provide cutting-edge technology solutions in the domain.”
